Baby Play Time is a post natal program offered to moms/dads with children ages 0-24 months. Weekly group sessions are held in both Carbonear and Bay Roberts. Sessions consist of an open discussion on a wide range of topics including but not limited to teething, diaper rash, potty training, making your own baby food, breastfeeding, child safety and injury prevention, as well as a sing along to promote parent/child interaction, and a snack for moms and dads as well as babies. Attendance to this program is drawn from the Healthy Baby Club and is a way to bridge the gap between Healthy Baby Club and our Early Childhood Education programs. At the Family Resource Centre we also promote and support breastfeeding as the best start that you can give your baby. This is done through our Breastfeeding Support program which provides the continuation of food supplements, breastfeeding incentives for up to 22 weeks, and an opportunity to meet with other moms through our Baby Play Time group.
